Studying film and television at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, while working towards a double major in broadcast journalism, created a voracious appetite for visual storytelling. Building realistic budgets, writing scripts, crafting storyboards, operating cameras and editing systems, collaborating with professors and students, and shooting in locations around the Tri-State area became crucial building blocks for my career.

Between 1999 and 2006, I was living the dream at Food Network. After starting as a Field Producer for Cooking Live Primetime with Sara Moulton, I was sent around the world for two years to direct My Country My Kitchen, a documentary series that profiled 26 Chefs, which received two James Beard nominations. It won Best National Television Food Show in 2002. I created, produced and directed Giada DeLaurentiis’ first show Everyday Italian which received several Daytime Emmys during it’s five year run. As a Director of Programming, I was the network executive overseeing all daytime cooking shows produced by production companies.

In 2009, I created my own full-service production company, IW Productions LLC in New York City. Between 2009 - 2020, we employed hundreds of producers, writers, directors, camera operators, editors and stylists to produce multiple seasons of highly-rated programs including Man Fire Food, Unique Eats, and Unique Sweets for Cooking Channel, Iron Chef Eats, Best Ever and Tyler’s Test Kitchen for Food Network, and Food Paradise for the Travel Channel.

Recent work include (More Than) A Cooking Show for CNN as a Co-Executive Producer and show runner for Zero Point Zero Production, and On the Road for America’s Test Kitchen as a Co-Executive Producer, Director and Story Producer for its eight episode launch.
